If your feet are off the ground at the same time, you’re running and that is fast enough.

Thank you, you've made me feel so much better! Really doubted myself today, not my ability but to succeed by a club runner, where reprepetition is key. Onto wk 5 for me, feeling less tired with more stamina with every run 😊

More stamina is what it’s all about... speed comes later. This plan is all about being able to run the times... later you may work by distance... even then, when you go longer you’ll run slow... no matter what level you get to. The elite 5k athletes are running 15k+ comfortable runs to enable that speed... when you add distance/duration, comfortable is the way to do it.

'Too slow' doesn't exist.

Have fun :-)

Thank you John, I'm really enjoying just getting out there!

Enjoy! There's no better feeling than ending a run and feeling like you could carry on - because you set out at the 'right' pace. Keep doing that and you'll have a great experience.

I’m on week 4 and “running” at pretty much walking pace. Most embarrassing. But I’m focusing on completing the 5 and 3 minute runs. My running friends reassure me that speed will come later, and I just have to believe them.

Not embarrassing, just be comfy. 😀 You will speed up without trying or noticing later. 😀

Standstill is too slow... everything else is fine. :)

Too slow = on the couch

Fast enough = anything else involving moving and two feet off the ground at the same time!

You’re doing well.

As long as you're going forward, you're doing just fine 😁

No such thing as too slow. You're off the couch and that is more important! 😁

There is no such thing as too slow as long as you are making a running movement. 😄

Lots of us, including me, are happy snails. 🐌 😄 You still reap all those running benefits. There is research that shows slow running is better for you than being a gazelle! - But the important thing is to enjoy yourself- find your “happy pace”! 😃

Agreed with all of the above! You could check out the” slow joggers association ‘ if you have any worries! Sorry not great at links 🙄

LOL! :)

I'm going into YEAR three and thrilled with my "snail pace" 4.8 mph pace :)

At a certain point, you'll probably decide, like most of us, if you want to focus on speed, distance or a happy combo of the two :)

For now, it's all about slowly and steadily building up stamina. And keep in mind - the "slowest" runner is still a Runner :)

Wishing you many happy miles in your future 😊

A slow mile is still a mile!! I graduated last month, I’ve just posted my run this morning. I covered 3.5km in 35 mins. 3 months ago I thought I was going to die after 30 sec. I’ve learnt on here to be happy I’m getting out there no matter how far/fast/slow I go! Just enjoy your run 🏃‍♀️
