Skiing holiday after week 5

I completed week 5 run 2 yesterday after never really running ever in my life. I'm 46 and usually do 5to10k steps a day walking so I'm not a couch potato but i was never a runner! I'm going on a skiing holiday tomorrow. I'm a very competent fast skiier and usually get thigh burn from skiing. I'm hoping the last 4 weeks have got me a little fitter than usual though. I'm gagging to see if I can do the wk5r3 20min run but thinking now as my legs have ached a little since I started, that I'm better off giving them a rest and allowing them to recover a little. Would I be able to go straight into the wk5r3 20 mins run or should I start again at wk5r1 when I get back? Im definitely not going to do any running on my skiing holiday

You’ll be fine - do the w5r3 but take it nice and slow. You won’t have lost any fitness - presuming you’re not going for more than 2+ weeks?! And you’ll have been active most of the time.
