Hi all - so I’ve been training for a 10k which is in 4 weeks time and everything was going great.... until I managed to fall over onto my knees on concrete (ouch!) πŸ˜–

Knees are bruised and were swollen but not too bad to begin with so I carried on my training. Since then one knee is completely fine but the other one has become very painful. Still bruised and painful, feels like toothache in my knee if that makes any sense at all. Also feel a bit like it’s bending too far. So what do I do now? Do I carry on training and hope it gets better or should I see a doctor or just rest for a few days?

Please help. Any advice gratefully received πŸ™‚

A small ache is ok if you're in pain you maybe need to rest for a few days . You don't want to keep going and make it worse you could end up not running for even longer 😊

Try RICE

Rest

Ice

Compression

elevation

For a few days and see what your doctor says

And I hope you get back on your feet and you're able to do the 10k.

Good luck
