Well, after lots of consistent advice, I decided to go and get some proper shoes early on in my journey, rather than run in cheapies. I have to say, the experience couldn't have been nicer. No-one batted an eyelid at a fat, middle-aged man walking through the door and I got to try on various pairs and was filmed on the treadmill so we could pick the shoe with the best amount of support. The cost... eyewatering! But it's an investment in my health.
Me... in a running shop... me!!!: Well, after... - Couch to 5K
Me... in a running shop... me!!!
If the shoes work out for you, then you will probably find the same ones at half the price online, when they need replacing.
Money well spent... best asset..next to you!
And we want to see photos of those new bad boys too. We'll done I'm sure the cost will be worth it if you achieve what you want to.
Looking good. ☺
Ooooohhh nice 👍
This is why we run slow on timed runs... the shoes last more runs then 😂
I compare the cost to other things... I pay £80 a month on TV and £200 a year on running shoes isn’t so bad when I look at it that way! Have many happy miles in them.
Mine were expensive too but I don’t regret it and you will find it a big difference I’m sure! The price is also due perhaps to the fact that you are buying 2 right feet shoes and that must be quite rare
Yes, they couldn't believe it in store when I told them I had 2 right feet! Lol I got one pair with plenty of support for road running and one pair with plenty of grip for Parkrun... I almost broke my neck several times on Saturday morning!
I know what you mean, I ended up spending £120 on a pair, never thought I’d spend that on trainers but they’ve worked wonders the pain in my knee gone and my performance and speed has improved significantly in the couple of weeks I’ve had then so definitely worth every single penny! Hope you enjoy your new trainers, happy running 🏃♂️
