Week 1 done ✅ and I can still breathe!

Week 1 completed! Felt easier today, legs a little less leaden.

Also helped by the fact it’s proper wet and miserable here so hardly anyone braving the local park.

The only thing I’m finding off putting is busy times, local school around the corner and it’s stressful being left in the dust by 5 year olds,🙄Hence the fact I run mid morning.

Now looking nervously at week 2!

Great job... and a bonus that you can still breathe 😂

There’s some damn fast kids around for sure... but they have the advantage over us in that they’re not afraid to run to exhaustion, rest and do it again... of course their muscles also heal super fast! Anyways... in another 10 years you’ll still be running and most of the 5 year olds will have stopped!

Week 2... ok yeah, looks scary when you look at it front on... they’re 90 second intervals... now, let’s go round the side... there’s only 5 of them... like all of this plan, it depends how you choose to look at it. In week one I was already sure the app was wrong and the 60 seconds were at least 120... and I counted them off from 8... so week 2 I counted them off from 5. I actually found it an easier week.

Enjoy week 2, you’ve already don the hardest week.

Well done!! Keep going- just think in a few more weeks you’ll be leaving those kids in the dust!!

I've just completed W1R3 too! Raring2go! for week 2.

Found it interesting that you liked the rain... All my "runs" have been fair weather, and not even too cold given it's January, so not looking forward to wet weather at all...

The park tends to be busy with dog walkers here when it’s fine. I prefer being a solitary runner at the moment. Maybe that will change further on. 👍

Well done. Wouldn't it be great if we could all run like we did when we were 5. Week 2 will be fine - challenging (much like W1) - but fine.

I remember each week feeling like I had reached my limit, but the following week would come and again I would make it. Trust the programme.

If you cannot breathe fully and deeply, you will not get enough oxygen to fuel your muscles.........slow down to the easy conversational pace described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
