But the main thing is that you're back... so you must remember either the benefits you saw or the enjoyment you got. I'm sure it must be frustrating, but I bet you will get your fitness back much quicker than those of us who are just starting out. And the great news is that you get to hang out with the lovely people on here. :)

Don't be embarrassed - I look like a jelly on a washing machine when I run but hey ho! :)

I completed c25k about 18months ago, and continued jogging 5k religiously 3 times a week for maybe the first 6 months....best shape of my life. Then Christmas came and I wained, but sort of got back on track....then last years sweltering summer came, and my daughter got her first pony, and my last jog was 1st Aug 2018. I’ve been busy, walking/jogging alongside daughter and pony, mucking out everyday, lugging hay and water, but no proper runs. Went out yesterday for my first jog in 6 months, and I did it-the whole 5k, no stitch, no stopping....okay, not my fastest pace, but I did it. My rambling point is-once you found that fitness it doesn’t just disappear; and the fact you’ve completed c25k before means you know you can do it. Don’t be disheartened, be proud of yourself that you’re back on it! Good luck. X

Sounds all too human to me! And it’s good to resume, I love it when people are honest enough to say how it is for them. Good luck for the new journey to C25K.😀

I managed to go from couch to 10K in 2017 (march to June) and then let it slip. So cross with myself tried running again after Christmas 2018 and my legs don’t work anymore! Back to couch to 5k - I agree it’s demoralising but at least we are back there trying!

Good luck xx

Yeah. I think there are a lot of people like that (me included!) like others have said, you are back to it! It’s hard sometimes to keep it up wether it be due to no time or injury etc.

I feel like starting from the beginning again. I guess if you’ve done it before it may be easier for you to complete! Good luck. Keep us posted!! 👍

I'm exactly the same! Did C25K in the sweltering heat of last summer, never missed a run. Signed myself up for two runs with a medal in Oct (loved the Halloween medals) as an incentive to keep me going. I've run once since Oct- life has just got in the way 😔!

So I know exactly how annoyed you are at yourself. I think I'm a fair weather runner, that's my problem! 😂

Good luck, let us know how you get on x

I did exactly the same, we've all done it, there is no shame i that! What counts is your back and getting stuck in.

Well done, the good thing is you know you can do it and you know the plan works.

First time I have posted for about a year as I have been doing rather than writing. I get very little time these days but just wanted to say no need to feel embarrassed and I did exactly the same. Until early July I was running daily and then that job finished and started elsewhere with so I let it fall away and decided to start running again at the end of November and once again struggled to break the 5 mins. It is now January 2019 and I am once again running 30 mins again. You can too. Also I am still very slow. 3K = circa 37 mins just like it did last year.

Me too (never even posted on here to get a Graduate badge) but I did finish in May and then it was sooo hot and busy and I didn't quite no where to go after I'd finished the podcasts. Started all over again in October and did wk9r1 today so nearly graduated again! Just need to keep it up this time. Have found it easier this time so I guess some fitness had stayed with me. You can do it!
