I think weirdly I found it easier than W1 .... the dogs definitely did - how quick they’ve learned to trot alongside on their leads attached to my (expensive) belt. The only annoying thing is they’re not out of breath and are mothering me for a play on the beach!

My dog trots along casually at my side, with an occasional glance towards me that says “so when are we going to start running then?”. I have found that when on a lead and I’m running she happily stays with me, but if she is off lead, or I am walking slowly then she wanders off to sniff at things and be dog like!! I haven’t invested in a belt yet because she does tend to pull a bit and I’m worried it will upset my rhythm or make me twist something if she suddenly pulls at my waist rather than my arm.
Yes - it takes a bit of thought doesn’t it? It helps with my two to let them have a 10 min sniff about before I start the podcast thingy ..... and the clever belt contraption does have elastic bits between the leads and the belt - so wrenching is minimised ( it also helps that I’m about 16 stone and they’re less than 4 stone combined!)
