In the words of Sarah Millican, I am a runner! Looking up from the laptop this afternoon, thinking my eyes were deceiving me, pure sunshine was gushing in the kitchen window. So it was upstairs to change togs, and off for the 25 minute run. Feeling like this week's illness was finally subsiding, I set off with an expectation of accomplishment, but also expecting chest and leg aches and pains. At the half way mark, I knew I was going to finish the run. No chest pain, no out of breath, no shin splints - just a healthy feeling that it was nearly time to finish. For the last minute, I actually maintained pace to one of my all time favourites Kashmir (Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy). What a beat to jog to!
Proud to have finished 2/3 of the Couch25K now, without any injuries or delays, and looking forward to graduating just before the New Year. Next challenge - I start a new job on Monday after a 3 month rest.
