Short back story for those of you who don’t know me.

21/2 weeks ago I had a non running accident in which I body slammed my next door neighbours’ house, resulting in bruised ribs, a messed up face, and a broken wrist. For those that know about these things I thought I’d broken my scaphoid, but actually I’ve broken my distal radius.

I’m now doing much better and have finally even managed to have a couple of baths 👍 Which have been heavenly, if still a bit problematical because the wrist is still hurting quite a lot.

Everything seems to be quite straightforward, so hopefully I’ll be out of plaster in time for Christmas, though I still won’t have a full range of motion. Luckily I already wasn’t going to be cooking Christmas lunch as we’re eating at my brother’s, so I don’t have to worry about that.

Poor you!

I feel your pain (though yours is much worse) I ended up with an Edema of the bone marrow, in my hand, so I’ve been a bit lop sided and out of action for about six weeks.

Sending you lots of healing thoughts and I hope you are back on your feet in time for Christmas!

Thank you 😊

Oh no, poor you - hope you’re doing well now.

Good luck with the plan 👍

It’s good to hear that you’re on the mend. Hopefully you’ll have a wonderful Christmas and a nice gentle return to action.

I’m not going to rush coming back, I’m old enough to worry about breaking it again if I try too much too soon.

Same here... I’m going to be around the same time and going at it very gradually.

Really frustrating having your movement restricted and everything is more difficult without having two hands!! I started this year in a similar position. It was having to sit around and feel muscle tone ebbing away that set me on the road to C25k and now beyond. Not being able to lift a teapot with my left hand was the clincher! Hopefully you will get some free physio to help you get back up to full strength. Hope Christmas proves to be a lovely distraction. 😊

So frustrating! And of course it’s my dominant hand.

Most frustrating ting at the moment is they’ve set it a special way so I actually can’t grip stuff with my hand at all.

Christmas should be a very good distraction especially if I’m out of plaster 👍

Yowch Maddee. Great you’re on the mend though, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Happy running in 2019! 😀🏃‍♀️

Oh wow! So sorry to hear about your injury but am very happy to know you are in the mend. Take care of yourself, enjoy getting waited on for Christmas dinner (or at least not having to cook it) and before you know it, you’ll be out running again.

I’m definitely going to let the men of my family do all the work on the day - I only just realised that I will literally be the only woman there 😂
