I’ve done it!

Week 9, run 3 completed this morning. I’ve really had to push myself to get out this week, as I’ve been feeling a bit low. It was surprisingly warm and the rain held off. Found it a bit of an anti-climax to be honest, but that’s just my mood at the moment. I know I’ve done well, not just to run for 30 mins, but to run 3 times a week for 9 weeks! I need something to help me keep going now. The app has been so helpful and I know I’m at risk of not carrying on when I feel like this.

Congratulations Liz5K (love your username) 😊 on completing C25K with week 9 run 3. To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the November graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 😊 🏃 🎓

Thanks AlMorr. I only use the app and the graduation badges don’t seem to appear there 😞

The word GRADUATE should appear next to your username on both Smartphone and desktop, however, the 'badge' is the word GRADUATE, especially on the desktop computer/laptop version. I graduated last June, graduate appeared quickly but no badge then to be told that graduate 🎓 is the badge, there has been a lot of discussion about this on this site, the main thing is to get the important G word when you graduate next to your username.

Thanks for your reply Alan. ‘Graduate’ doesn’t show up on my phone for some reason but I’ve popped my details on the post anyway.

You are now OFFICIALLY a GRADUATE🎓 of C25K Liz, notice the G word next to your username 😊 🎓

Well done graduate!! The last run can be a bit of an anti climax because it is the third run of the same duration; you kind of know you are going to do it barring injury. Celebrate the fact that you stuck with the programme and you are a runner now. You have choices: do you want to speed up? do you want to join Bridge to 10k? I settled for a bit of consolidation, but made the mistake of just trying first to get to 5k and then run successive 5ks faster and faster. Knowing what I do now, I would have mixed things up with shorter quicker runs in between steadily run 5ks, maybe a park run. There are also the NHS 5k+ apps where you can listen to Laura again. Anything rather than just every other day 5ks trying as hard as you can, which almost put me off before I got sensible! You should celebrate today though.....it is a fantastic achievement. 🍾🍾👏🥇

Just want to keep fit and loose some weight if possible. No great desire to get to 10k but I think that’s because I can’t imagine doing it.

First congratulations and secondly thank you 👍🏻

I’ve just completed my first run of W8 and so the end is nigh... I have been congratulating myself for each run but your absolutely spot on! It’s the running 3 times a week for 9 weeks that’s to be celebrated.

Here’s to the next 9 😊

Just looked in the diary and that would take me to the end of January. Setting a goal of another 9 weeks is a great idea, thanks.

Great job Liz 🥇⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loads of other options now. It’s easy to feel down and disheartened at this time of year, so don’t blame yourself for it. You’ve proved you can do great things, and more of them lie ahead. We’re all very proud of you x

Keep running, keep smiling.

Wow well done! I have two more runs to complete, but have today signed up for our town’s annual 5k run in March next year (won’t be ready for the 1/2 marathon 🤣!!)This has really helped, as I now have something else to aim for, having been aiming for completing C25k for a while! Enjoy your running adventures x
