It’s been a long and miserable 5 months since I broke my leg and I’ve struggled with depression and massive weight gain.
However - I got the all clear from my physio to run again last week so I have completed week 1 and the first 2 runs of week 2.
I can’t tell you how great it felt mentally to run (well more like walking very fast than running as I’m scared to actually let both feet off the ground at the same time!) and despite being really unfit and getting shin splints for the first time I can’t wait to do the third run tomorrow.
It’s good to be back although I probably don’t know anyone on the list now

Wow well done,it surely makes you feel fab, jogging, so good for your mental health, I go of into my own world while jogging ( at a slow pace) I might add. Keep it up
Welcome back to running. You’ll soon be back up to fitness and distance. Tiny jogging foot lifts are the way to go, that leg will strengthen back up over a couple or three months.
Aw so sorry about your leg, it must have been terribly frustrating for you. Welcome back and I look forward to seeing your future posts. Enjoy running and don’t do too much too soon.
