Okay, now here's how you do it:

1) Change your name by deed poll to Pheidippides.

2) Book your holiday in Athens.

3) Take a taxi to Marathon.

4) Run back to Athens.

See? Easy eh?

It's the only authentic method, but for mere mortals we have Couch to 5K, Bridge to 10K, and then....
