Just started day 1 of the NHS 12-week fitness plan.
It really made me think (and look at myself) about how bad my health really is. The first run, not gonna lie, it hurt. I suppose it'll improve over time, but I'm not going to give up on this! Bring on tomorrow, lets see how I do with 'strength and Flex'!
Side Note - Thanks to all who commented yesterday on my post, some really great advice, I appreciate it!

I think we all got that slap in the face when we started. The good news is that your fitness will build really swiftly. Great that you are starting strength and flex too. Observe the running rest days they are critical to avoid injury. Happy running 😀
Am doing 3 days running, 3 days strength & flex and a day off a week.
Hoping the above, with me now eating healthier and getting ride of coke out of my life (yes, I used to drink ALOT of fizzy) this will aid weight loss.
I do have an appointment on 30th for the doctors to see if there's anything they help with (even just weighing me), but if this works well, I'll just cancel and continue
Good for you that you’re going to turn your health around 💪😃👍. Pop is rubbish. Water is fine. You soon get used to not drinking pop Lots of stuff we can do without and we don’t miss 🙂
Well,it’s famously good for cleaning lavs 😬. You won’t miss it honestly.
I gave up fags, booze and eating junk, took up running to improve my health. Joined fat club, ditched nearly five stones and now run like a girl. Which I ain’t, not by a long chalk 😁😎
C25k teaches you to run from a standing start. You only need go ever so slowly. There’s no point in trying to hurry or short cut the programme. Slow runs build legs. Anyway, you’ll see It’s huge fun by the way Good luck 😃👍
Well it sounds like you have this in hand! Keep us posted and good luck quitting the fizzy stuff, I drink a lot of water now and have dropped my pop consumption to one diet one a day-your dentist will be thrilled too 😀
Great job... I swear that run tried to kill me 8 times... so it does improve over time, I survived and graduated this, so will you. The fitness will rise faster than you think, keep pushing to the end of these early runs, it gets easier! Enjoy the strength and flex, and of course run 2
I was too... soon you’ll be amazing yourself out there... keep the legs loose on your rest days, find some low impact work to do from S&F and you’ll benefit from the cross training.
You will be so surprised how quickly your fitness improves - I still can't quite believe I can run non stop for 28 minutes, 8 weeks ago that seemed impossible.
