Arghhhh!!! Stitch!!

Tootled off for W4 R2 and a stitch stopped me at the last 5 min run. Managed half of it but couldn’t shift it! It was probably the worse I’ve ever had!

Now I’m definitely leaning towards not drinking enough! I only had two cups of tea throughout the day and I normally have lot more... also a Starbucks coffee and a large cup of tea before my run.

I have decided I am going to re-do R2 on Thursday and aim to drink a lot more throughout the day. I am convinced that’s the main cause of my stitches...

I didn’t manage 16 mins but I will do it on Thursday

Maybe, but just maybe the reason for your stitch was not drinking enough water, runners have got stitches despite drinking plenty of water before they run, yes, take plenty of water before you rerun week 4 run 2😊🏃I am sure you will be able to run it without further stitches?

I did R1 on Saturday without any problems and I had drank a lot throughout the day. My husband thinks the cold might’ve contributed as well which I’m not sure about as it was quite chilly on Saturday as well.

Hi definitely try drinking more water. I drink a cup of coffee around an hour or so before I head out and a pint of water just before. Coffee apparently helps with fat burning but I heard that tea isn't to good to drink before as it can make you feel a little sluggish but certainly drink lots of water. Good luck

It maybe because you are dehydrated or can happen when you eat too close to running. Try and drink more water during the day.
