W4 finished but I think I’m going to do it again...

I’m still astonished at my progress, and proud of myself for sticking with it. I am really struggling to complete the five minutes though ( although I do), and simply don’t think I can jump up again. I think therefore I’m goi g to repeat week four, and hope that if I do it again I’ll build my stamina. It does mean I won’t graduate before I go to China for five weeks in November - maybe I should try to do my graduation run on the Great Wall!

Well done Pickles your doing great. No problem repeating week 4. Try going slower, slow and steady will get you through. Trust the programme, each week prepares you for the next

Wow... what a place that would be to graduate... don’t try to run the whole wall though just yet 😂

You’re almost certainly ready for week 5... but I hear what you’re saying... maybe repeat one run and then go for the jump?

Happy running, great job today.

I think that’s what I’m going to do 😊

Well done for getting out and doing it!! You can do this. Maybe try first fun of week 5 and see how you feel but others are right trust the program, it works. 👍🏻

I did W5R3 today in a group and we all did it!

Obviously we support you whatever you choose. I repeated week 1 three times. Twice before starting with the c25k group.

We have a real mix of abilities and we're all going great!

Hey pickles, I think if you have completed week 4 even if it was a struggle then you should give yourself the chance to try week 5. I’ve just completed week five and I will be honest, only the second run was actually fun #thehellhaveijustsaid. But It actually was. For the second time, the first was when I completed w1r1 for the first time and saw 4 rainbows, I actually enjoyed the the run. It happened...I’m dealing with the fact I talk about running almost as much as I talk about food now.

Allow yourself the chance to try. I’ve taken the mentality that I will only repeat a run I don’t finish. Your body is prepared for the jump...bloody hell i’m saying this, I have been converted 🤭 “trust the program”. X

I will add that I repeated w1r1 3 times before I had the rainbows

I agree with jiggles7 . Lots of us find the first five minutes, or more, of each run tricky. Search ‘toxic 10’, it’s very common.

Give W5 a go, super slowly. Bet you anything you’ll surprise yourself! 😀

I am also dreading week 5 - have the last run in week 4 today.

Why don't you try it? If it really is too much you can take a step back.

I think I’m going to do one more week four run then give it a go 😊

I agree, if you actually completed the previous week just go for it. 👍

I felt that same, so repeated run 3 of week 4 and then move on to week 5 (today). It wasn’t as bad as expected 👌🏻 good luck.

I think that’s what I might do after what everyone says on here 😊

Whichever week you do, go really slowly. I bet you will surprise yourself! 😄

I honestly couldn’t go any slower without going backwards!

It’s true! My walking is getting faster but my “running” (and I use that word loosely) is getting slower!!!

My Fitbit registers my running as walking....today it said 'walking 32 minutes'. Yep, that was me running....but anyway, haha

My Fitness Pal does that same - my “running” is brisk walking and my “brisk walking” is leisurely walking according to them 😂
