16 days since I did my 1st post asking about treadmill running.
Well, on the treadmill I have completed 6 x week 1 runs and 4 x week 2 runs (with 1deg incline as recommended) and felt I was making some progress. Bright and sunny morning today so decided to try the outdoors. Listened to the podcast for week 1 and boy was it difficult. Managed maybe 3 x 60 seconds , the other runs improbable stopped a little before the end (not much).
Such a difference running outside. I can walk faster than I can run as I am a regular golfer and get my 10k steps in most days. Taking the programme slowly ny repeating as I am very late to this running lark. Birthday no 74 next month and maybe 2 stone overweight so will have to work on my diet more !! - on my bucket list to be able to run!!
Great to read all the comments on the forum. Thank you

You had me worried there, thought you’d done 11 runs in two weeks... checked your first post and that was after week one, so all is well.
Great job so far and welcome to the great outdoors! It’s different to the treadmill, no even inclines and you have to work on the pace, so it was always going to be a difficult run today, you get extra kudos for giving it a go early on, and you’re pretty close to nailing them all, that’s impressive.
Stick with it. Outdoors you are doing all the work. I'm still finding pacing myself is crucial. Slow is fine - slow is necessary even! You'll get nothing but respect for your efforts on here.
