Why is the current crop of running shoes so brightly coloured? I want good old white-to-get-dirty ones, and I couldn't find any. A specialist running shop too...
My new(ish) vivid blue and orange monsters have been through rain, mud, horse and cow poo, more mud and yet they refuse to be dulled... JUST WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO THEM???
The problem with that is the poor guy painting the lines will be watching where he’s painting and may suffer retinal damage when your shoes enter his field of vision.
You raised a good point, I used to run in brook Ravenna 6 and I loved them, I got a pair of turquoise and pink. When they needed to be replaced I looked for the same brand and size online. The identical ones were £80 the even brighter ones were £110. The white ones (identical) were £38. Because no one wanted them. I went On to have two pairs of the white ones but boy did they look bad after a winter of running. ☹️.
I think they must have a Teflon finish and muck just slides off. i had a pair of brooks Cascadias like that They always looked clean no matter what. I did about a thousand miles in the darned things 😁
I would have though Nike would do a white shoe Have you googled 😃
It's fashion. A con to make you buy new ones before the old ones need replacing - because they're the wrong colour for this season. At least running shoes need replacing relatively frequently so it's harder for the con artists to pull this one off.
