Was so geared up and excited to start C25K, literally did my first run and that was it. Plantar Fasciitis back with a vengeance. Been told to rest it, stretch it & ice it. I'm so disappointed, and know it can take months to heal. Anyone else a sufferer?

I’m sorry I haven’t but I totally understand. I have just spent a few months with feet problems, both mine were playing up. Eventually I caved and took myself off to a sports podiatrist and now have new all singing all dancing custom made orthotics and am so happy with them. If it’s any consolation I always tell myself running alerts us to problems that could take years to show it’s face and because we love to run we sort it out earlier and that is always better than ignoring a problem. Speedy recovery and I hope you are not on the IC too long.
Sorry to hear your PF flared up. I have it too so had orthotic insoles made up by a company at the Ideal Home Show six months ago. They have completely transformed what I am actively able to achieve. All the PF pain has gone and the dodgy left knee pain has buggered off too. I wear my insoles in my trainers and so I bought a new pair and they are half a size bigger to account for the insole and also to give me some extra toe space. Might be worth having your feet looked at by a podiatrist in the first instance, seriously my PF has hopefully gone for good.

Yes! I saw a podiatrist before starting the plan. Insoles have helped amazingly but I don’t actually wear them running-too hard for the impact while running for me! That and some exercises have worked wonders!
