Treadmill antics. 1 degree incline. Upping the pace on each run till the end. Week one can be tough!

Good job. Don’t worry too much about pace.
Why are you upping the pace? Why are you doing a 1% incline? Neither are necessary.
Just go a nice and easy pace (one you can hold a conversation at comfortably) and relax. Week 1 should NOT be tough unless you're very overweight and have never exercised before.
Good luck
John
The 1% incline is widely advised to make the treadmill experience match the outdoor exercise experience more accurately (and presumably make the treadmill-to-outdoor transition more smooth, for anyone who’s alternating).
Thanks both for your replies. I'm upping the pace because I want to. And running with an incline to help with future transition to outdoors. Both are meant to push me slightly on the treadmill but give me a little more intuitive insight into my capability so that I can drivetrain take it really easy when I do run outside. Hope that's ok. I'm recovering from an injury so not pushing myself too hard here.
