W2R1 done. And by god it nearly killed me. I thought W1 was tough... The only way I could get through it was to distract myself with trees and birds and things. Tell me it gets easier please... Oh and left foot still hurts ...
I really want to like this... but: W2R1 done... - Couch to 5K
I really want to like this... but
SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!
Slow down? Any slower and I would have been walking. No joke, my legs were like concrete posts... Old ladies with trollies were faster....
I'm doing this one tomorrow
I keep up the brisk walk but really slow down for the running bit.
Listen to the mentor! 😊 Seriously slow down, embrace your inner 🐌🐌 This program is about building endurance first, then later, way, way later you can start to build on the speed.
There is a stat that only 10% of graduates achieve the 5k in 30 mins. That means a heck of a lot of people don't.
Good on you for keeping at it 👏👏👏 You will enjoy it more the slower you go. I can walk faster than my jogging pace some days but it's all about getting our poor bodies into the habit of running.
If it's a true pain (as opposed to a bit of an ache) in your foot then you should get it looked at before you get sidelined with an injury and put off the whole c25k.
Thanks Jogunlikely I will try and embrace my inner snail as you suggested. Perhaps I can chat with the snails too!
I keep telling myself "I love running" like a mad robot on repeat...we'll see how it goes.
Pain is on bottom of heel where it meets my arch. Been putting an ice pack on it. I'm going to get some proper running shoes soon, to see if that helps.
I totally understand. I’m on week two also. I’m trying to stay positive. You can only do one step at a time and that’s what keeps me going x
Guys, the only thing stopping you is you. Running isn't a speed, it's an action, a way of moving completely different from walking. So SLOW DOWN.
Another run down... good job. Slower may be the answer even if you don’t think it’s possible!
