Hi this is the first run community I’ve joined. I’ve just completed run 2 on week 1 with my dog who’s really needing to lose weight and get fitter as am I. So it’s a joint effort! The dog is knackered lol but I’m feeling good and positive! Bring on run 3 on sat. Xx

That's great. Deciding to start and the first week is the hardest part. Keep it up. X

Well done you two! You and the dog only need go very slowly. No rush at all. You can get fit together it’s going to be such fun. Just go steady remember 😃👍

Great that the dog enjoyed the run as well although you say it was knackered, by the time you get to W5R3 the dog should not be so tired and loving all the runs as well as you do.

Great job, both of you! The dog will get used to it pretty fast, not sure of any canine cross training, maybe just TLC. Week one is hard and you’ve nearly beaten it! I just checked your post and saw that you’re also quitting smoking. I put my last cigarette out the night before my first run. Good decision, and surprisingly those smokes won’t hold you back in this programme. Stay strong and conquer that bad addiction while replacing it with a good one!
