Avoid hills? 😂😂

Go nice and slow. Sip water all day every day. Go slow. Relax. Go slow!

Welcome. Well done so far... it’s not supposed to be easy so you’re doing just great.

If you can cope with hills, keep them in, they build stamina and, for much later, speed.

Unfortunately I can't avoid hill, country roads are all I have to run on and are hilly lol.

Thanks for the support x

Then it may be a bit more of a struggle to start with, but will pay dividends later. Anyway, you’ve done those hills a few times now, you can do them again right?!

Just keep running no matter how slow, I had a killer hill (at least to me it was!) in my last run and I pushed through with this attitude. There is always a top to the hill!

Congratulations on completing Week 2 Run 2, the first weeks are tough. I think that nearly all of us struggle with the first few weeks. My suggestions are :

1. Try to run on the flat. There is plenty of time for taking on the challenge of hills later on. Try to find a flat route or even one with slight undulations.

2. Run slow n steady. It’s not a race. Think trot or jog rather than run.

Good luck, you are doing just great. It’s lovely to have you along for a run.

Well done for getting started. Hills deffo are a killer 🙈 I live near the top of a steep hill and I drive to a nearby park or to the beach for a bit of a flatter run lol 😂 My tips would be - Breathe properly and take your time (there’s no such thing as too slow)

A good motivational playlist helps a lot too!

I am struggling to find really good motivation music, any recommendations?

Depends what you’re in to. A good google may help... I googled good metal running songs and I got lots sorted by BPM... if you match the beats to your footfall (cadence) you can use it to keep pace. Don’t be afraid to go slower though, this is all about running the time, speed and distance are irrelevant to the fitness part of running.

In the early days music is more of a distraction from thinking how long is left... bang your favourite tunes on.
