W6R2 Built for Comfort not Speed

Slightly later start time due to expected delivery and after a weekend of kayaking and camping in the woods I wasn't sure how I'd get on today.

But like my fellow heroes on our shared mission out I went. Focus focus focus..one foot in front of another, breathe and the minutes soon counted down.

Boy was it busy on the canal today, barges all queued up waiting to go through the lock.

After my runs I can feel my thigh muscles are getting stronger and my calves are showing shape. My times on the whole are improving but I'm definitely still built for comfort and not speed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Thank you Shakywakey! I was going to say that's when the hard work really begins but that was actually week 1 run 1 everything else is building on that. 😊

Sounds like an absolutely perfect weekend, I love wild camping, not so keen on kayaking mind!

I wouldn't give any concern over your times, they're great AND, did you ever think just a few short weeks ago that you'd have run over 40k in a month??? BOOM!

Thank you boniobiscuits, it was an adventure especially the long drop look!! And yes, I could never have imagined running 40 steps before!!!

The old me would have said I'm too tired, the C25K me says get out there and give it your best 😊 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘
