Does anyone see any other person doing this couch to 5k? I do but don't know what to say π

I smile and nod to all runners I pass. Most of the time they smile and nod back to me, on the whole Runners are a pretty friendly bunch. I often wonder if I see them doing intervals if I talk to them on here. π.
My town is like a ghost town - there is almost no-one walking in the streets. Quite spooky at times. Everyone seems to drive everywhere. Meeting another runner would be as infrequent as a solar eclipse or something.

How do you know they are doing C25K?
Acknowledge everyone, runners or not, it gives us runners a good public face.

I'm on W2 but almost immediately on my first couple of runs in Newcastle city centre I started to feel there was a bit of a 'secret society' of runners. π I have no idea whether any of them are doing C25K but I like knowing they're around so I try to say hello or at least nod. I did W2R1 out at a friend's house in Cumbria which was very different. Didn't meet anyone at all except that as a I was doing the warm-down walk a lady stopped her car to ask if I needed a lift back to the village, which was very kind but not really the impression I wanted to give!

I've found all runners really friendly and supportive. We all had to start somewhere! ππ

Only done my third run this week, but there is a guy who uses the same route as me in Houghton Regis, but in the opposite direction, I saw him on Monday and today. I asked if he was a C25Kβer, and he is! Itβs nice seeing a friendly face as you walk/jog past!

I do see some runners in the area that I live in, the more affluent the area is, the more runners and walkers there seems to be. I find that when a runner is going in the opposite direction he or she always says hello, I reply back, hi, the combined speed is, of course, double and not suitable for a conversation, as if you were going in the same direction together. On my runs, I have yet to pass someone running slower, however, the few people who have overtaken me also say hi. I have only twice been cheered on by a passerby, the first time was that 'dreaded' run 3 of week 5, the second time it was at halfway during my graduation run, that was nice, I have NEVER been jeered or ridiculed, laughed at during any of my runs, of course, you cannot know if any of the runners you see have done C25K, the few people that I have asked have, sorry to say this, they have never heard of C25K until I tell them what it is.
I am really glad people I go past in my area are really friendly (be they running, walking or walking their dog). It took me ages to get the courage to run alone (I used to go sporadically with my husband but he barely ever has the energy to go anymore) as I thought I would get heckled. I try to say good morning, with a smile, to everyone I pass.
