So hard

On Thursday I did W6R2 it was the hardest run yet. I seriously contemplated stopping as I did struggle. I didn’t stop and I completed the run. I don’t know why I struggled so much, maybe the heat, I just don’t know. I am planning to run3 tomorrow yet I’m not in my usual motivated self. I’m worried that I won’t be able to do it. I don’t want to fail. I want to enjoy it. It’s a big run, can I do it?

Well done! You completed it. Big tick in a big box. I find it hard running when it’s warm too and they always feel tougher. Should be cooler tomorrow so a good day to smash w6. Yes you can do it! By the way, if you search for w6 in here you’ll find lots of people find w6 tough after the highs of w5r3 so you’re not alone in what you’re feeling now. Just park those ‘F word’ thoughts, drink lots today, get your runners on tomorrow and go out and do it. You absolutely have got this.

Stop and have a breather if needs be, just til your breathing is restored and then push on. It can save your run.

Slow down perhaps? Are you trying to go too fast ? There’s no hurry 🙂

Some days are like that. Remember to slow down and slow down again especially as the runs get longer. I bet you feel amazing for completing it though. I often wonder why I actually run - then when I finish, I realise why.

There’s no shame and nothing unusual in having a tough run. Everyone has one or more at some point. Mine were W6R1 and W8R2 for example. And who knows what W9 will hold in store for me next week!!?

But, like you, I powered on through those, slaying gremlins left and right. You did too - you completed the run! That’s awesome, and it shows how determined and strong you are! 💪🏻

W6R3 is 25 minutes, but you’ll be fine. It’s a lovely run. Take it slower than the Olympic gold medal slow walking snail, and you’ll do it! We’re all here behind you!

Happy running and good luck! 😀🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️😀👊

You know the drill, slow and steady... don't overthink it and sabotage it before you even get out there. Prepare well, good hydration, food choices and rest and you'll be just fine.

Those gremlins of self doubt have seen a crack in the door and they think they can take over... show them who's boss! 👍💪😁
