Hi there, thought as I was looking for inspiration from others thinking of starting running, that I should post a beif but honest post myself...
I’m a cyclist though and through just to be clear, however this Holliday I promised my wife (well more made to tbh), that I’d not hire a bike and disappear at 6am every morning for a couple of hours to get my fix and have been at a loss as to what to do for 2 weeks...
Having had ALC reconstruction and cartilage removal in one knee, I’m a little restricted to certain sports and was more than reluctant to start running, I visited a local sports shop before our hols who measured gait and recommended a pair of Brooks Glyceryn 16 running trainers and, feel after 3 runs I might have got the bug if not just a little sore and tight.. walking on tiptoes every morning because of unbelievable painful calves has been great amusement to my wife and daughters. Been stretching like a made man and have bought some KT tape which seems to helps with patella pain when walking about or running..
Anyhow well done to anyone attempting or completing this coarse - as with my cycling I use Strava to track and provide progress data for this sport which it does flawlessly!
First class app thanks Coiuch to 5 k and fingers crossed I stick to it and make it to the end..
