So more heavy work commitments and preparing for a holiday put paid to completing last week “on time”. But completed W2R3 on a treadmill, in the hotel gym, in sunny Ibiza.
Lots of talk of “yeah, it’ll be fine, I’ll get up really early and beat the heat”..... hasn’t yet happened! So off to the gym yesterday to make use of th treadmill and air con.
Don’t think it’ll be any different for W3 whilst I’m out here... it really is just too hot to run outside! But really don’t want any more delays to the schedule, so indoor it will have to be.
Might however mean that W4 comes hard when I get back... but will cross that bridge when I come to it!!!
Bring on W3.... seems to be the point where it starts getting serious....! 😳

I started using a treadmill for W4R3, then I did all of week 5 and the first 2 of week 6 on the treadmill. I also had the fear of it being harder when I finally decided to go back outside and just wasn’t sure whether I would be able to go back outside. But, as it was just longer runs left, I figured I’d just get bored on the treadmill.
I’ve now done 2 runs outside, both 25 minutes and I did it! Definitely slower than what I was doing on the treadmill, but that was expected and obviously now I just have longer runs to do so was expecting it to be hard.
It was a little bit harder, but I’d been doing a lot around that too. But honestly you’ll probably be fine, just be fully prepared to take it slower than what you do indoors and be grateful that you can do both types of running! I know some people find treadmill way harder and some just can’t do outdoors.
Well done for having the motivation to do it whilst on holiday too!
