Looking for advice

So, this week I was due to start week 9 and have been doing great. Loving every minute of it. However on Monday I was struck down with a viral infection that has totally floored me. I've spent this week in bed only drinking water (now that I can keep that down).

I'm worried about starting back once I shake this virus off. I haven't eaten at all this week and I feel really weak and shaky. Should I do some of the shorter runs again while I get my strength back? I am absolutely raging, it couldn't have picked a worse time.

Listen to your body. If you can’t run, don’t. A one or two week gap won’t stop you carrying on where you were.

Planning some shorter runs if you are up to it is a good idea. But only when you feel right - I’d suggest making sure you can eat well for a day before running. Running at all whilst ill will just make you worse.

Hope you recover well and soon.

Don't rush back, but just see what you can manage.

Get well soon.

Thanks. I'm so impatient, I want to run but my bodies not up to it. A couple of weeks rest won't kill me.

Rest and recover- the running will politely wait for you. Life just gets in the way sometimes. 😄
