Knee Support...yay or nay?

Just completed week 2. My left knee is feeling like it is threatening me... There is a dull ache there. Much more noticeable after run than during run. I'm wearing the correct running shoes (Although only had them for the last run), I'm stretching after. I'm going to look at exercises to strengthen my knee muscles.

Should I be wearing a support to run? I am having so much fun on this journey, I really want to try and prevent anything that would make me not be able to run.

It’ll go. The other one will probs start too. Lasts about a week. I took ibuprofen and ran through it but that’s a risk. I used a knee sleeve and iced but I don’t think either had any impact 😂

Hi. . I had knee pain also I used the compression bandage on my knee while I was running ...But the biggest help was resting it I had to take a few days off and then it was fine ...Also got proper shoes ..My pain was whilst running ..Hope you get the problem sorted soon ...Good luck on your journey 😊

In all likelihood it's just the normal thing knees do when you start running. It's very common and not usually a cause for concern unless it's real pain and/or happens when you're running.

Ibuprofen good. Knee supports maybe. But the supports are a mental benefit rather than anything physically necessary.

It should be okay after 2-3 weeks. Strengthening exercises are a good idea!
