Unfortunately exercise alone doesn’t lead to weight loss unless you are training like an Olympic athlete. See theguardian.com/lifeandstyl...

So If you are still eating the same amount you were before you started C25K then you will weigh at least the same, possibly more.

You have to actively reduce your food intake AND exercise more. C25K is good but three times a week for 30 minutes isn’t enough.

One thing you could do is spend a week analysing what you are eating - calorie input - and at the same time, estimate your calorie output.

Then make a plan to, say, eat 500 calories fewer daily. The more you exercise, the more you can eat albeit still fewer than you were eating before. On days when you don’t do much exercise, you can’t eat much. Smart watches/trackers and apps make this easy e.g. Fitbit.

Good luck!

Thanks Julessn, interesting article, I need to focus on the calorie intake as well πŸ˜€

This will give you a good idea of your target intake. The range they give will have you losing weight, it is NOT your maintenance weight. So aim for the bottom end of the calorie scale they give, not under it (or you risk kidney stones).
