Cuboid problems

Anyone had this problem? Totally new to running (week 6 done) and although I just about managed today’s run (mini walk midway sadly) I ended up with a 10 min cool down walk and really hobbled the last 5. Thing is it eases off between runs (one day bad the next ok) so since I don’t want to break my momentum I go off again. Think I know what you’re going to say ☹️

Let's see:

Rest. See a health professional if it's new and you are guessing what it is.

What about your shoes? Right ones, old, well worn? If new ones being worn or needed have you had gait analysis?

Is that what you were expecting 😄

Yes pretty much! Thanks anyway 🙂. I’m really reluctant to stop as I’ve got so much further than expected but it’s not good to hobble for 2 days and run for 25 minutes!! Common sense needs to prevail. Thank you.

Determination is a key ingredient for success, but needs to be leavened with a big dose of commonsense. If you have a recurring pain consult a medical professional.

Take care.

Yes. I’m old enough to know better (and need to recognise my limitations). Not my strong point!

Thank you.

I think we're all the same! We know what we should do but we're all pretty bad at taking our own advice. Think short term pain for long term gain - you don't want to make yourself worse & then end up having to have months off. You probably already know that though! Good luck whatever you decide & keep us posted

Thank you. Head over heart it is. I’m not even sure I’ve got to the “enjoying” running yet but I’m enjoying the progress! A lot can change in 6 weeks.

Not what you're looking for?
