Got told this morning by a well-meaning "friend" - "we really shouldn't run at our age - it's bad for the hips and the knees" she doesn't run at all. I'm 53. I know people mean well but I wish people would stop telling me what I should and shouldn't do - I know my own body. Sorry - end of rant.
That old chestnut! : Got told this morning by a... - Couch to 5K
That old chestnut!
Running has actually improved my ageing decrepit 40 something body! Knees hurt first few weeks - now She- Ra!! πͺπΌπͺπΌπͺπΌπ
I know. There was a Michael Moseley programme on recently that proved running isn't bad for your knees. Our skeletons were made for it - back in primal times we had to run all the time - to catch food & run away from dinosaurs! π
Not entirely sure we were here at the same time as the dinosaurs, I mean, yeah I feel old today, but not 165 million years old ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈπ¦
Refer them to the famous Stanford University study, then poke them in the eye.
If you want to get a few of the boys round to do some gentle Good Fellas persuasion, just let me know....
ππ. I will look that study up. Just so I've got a good argument next time!

Bottom line, at worst makes no difference at all....
Indeed! I just googled it. It is a bit long-winded. I will have a look at the link.
You have the body and mind of a 33 year old!
PS pretty sure that humans didn't coexist with dinosaurs.
I will try to find a link that proves that the Flintstones is not a documentary. ππ
Ha ha! Yeah well- history was never my strong point..... π
