I've tried running once before and kept getting a stich. Does anyone have any advice as to how to prevent it from happening? I'm a fitness phobe so I'll use any excuse to get out of it!
Any hints and tips would be greatfully received.
Thanks!

Avoid a heavy meal before your run. Ideally you want to have a light meal or snack 1-1.5hrs before your run (depending on time of day). This will give you fuel but you won’t get a stitch. So for example some porridge at breakfast, or if after work something like a couple of rice cakes with peanut butter.
Hello, welcome to our lovely but slightly mad running family!!
Now... I occasionally get stitches, and usually just as they come on, if I slow down, they go. It helps to put some pressure on my body where it hurts too. For me, it can also mean I didn’t warm up properly, or started too fast. Common mistake for new runners, I still do it too!!
