Have just finished wk1d3. Am 40 + overweight and haven't ran since school. Thought I do this on the treadmill till I get confident but though body willing the mind is lagging. Advice please xx

Probably, slow down. You are going to find bits hard but the answer is slow down. Well done for starting, well done for sticking with it. And good luck with your next - slower! - run.

Same here re the 40+ and overweight. I also run on a treadmill. The mindset to make the decision to try and also stick with it has to come from you. All I can say is if you want it the support is all here and everyone will push you the whole way over the finish line. Good luck!
Oh - and if it’s just boredom on the treadmill that’s the problem get your playlist sorted! Banging house tunes for me but do whatever suits you!

This is me, 42 and four-ish stone heavier than I really should be but i've huffed and puffed through the programme and still pushing on through 3 x 5k runs a week now (still using the week 9 podcast) It's a mental battle as well as a physical one but you absolutely can do this! There'll always be plenty of help and encouragement here. Good luck!
