Hope you’ve all enjoyed week 6 despite the heat!

I struggled a little with run 1 but plodded slowly but happily through run 2. Tomorrow brings run 3 for me and no more walking breaks!!! Aarrgghhhh 😱

I was surprised how much I enjoyed jogging through run 3 and didn’t find the no breaks difficult. Just pace yourself slow and if you have any energy at the end speed it up. Did 7/1 this morning and enjoying it! 😎

Did W7R1 yesterday on a different route found path hard going but managed the 25 mins with the view changing. R2 tomorrow i expect unless gardening today and yesterday has set me back with aches. you must be heading for week 8 well done

Well I managed R2 today but opted for the rec as running on grass seems gentler on the knees which ache after gardening. roll on R3 sunday then W8 here i come following in your footsteps. well done to you

A very hot run 1 this morning. Much harder than running for 20 mins?? Perhaps it was the heat? But did it and on we go to run 2...!

We did WK6 run1 this morning and I did find it a bit tough, but I had an awful night sleep the night before so I was really tired, so happy that I managed it. I must say I think the runs with no breaks are easier, and that's something I never thought I would say! Onward and upwards. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

I hope those of you who were planning on going out today went early! It’s a scorcher ☀️

I had a busy morning so couldn’t go until about 11.45am. Man it was hard work, so hot. I had to keep taking walking breaks and even though I drank plenty earlier I was parched. I was bright red and the sweat was dripping off me! Bit of a nightmare all round really. Not sure if I should move on to week 7, these long runs with no walking breaks are killing me and I don’t think it’s only the heat.

decided on W7R1 to leave the rec and take a tour , found it harder initially to run on path but the view was much more interesting and completed 25 mins -yeah. Still wearing my fleece for the pockets and bobble hat to keep my earplugs in. What do others do , shall i buy something to hold my phone and how else do you keep earplugs in ?

Bobble hat and a fleece must be warm! I use an arm strap for my phone, much cooler. Luckily my earbuds stay put.

Wow skeenie you must have been melting! I’ve got an arm strap for my phone which is very handy. I’ve never had a problem with ear plugs falling out though, maybe treat yourself to proper headphones that go over your head?

do go early in the morning about 6.30-7.00 but do get a tad warm and sweaty! have just bought some different earphones from JVC and a stretchy belt to hold my phone as think it will be better than the fleece. the investment seems worthwhile seeing as i am enjoying this running lark

back on the paths again this morning but accompanied by my daughter , W7R3 ok knees coping, daughter informs me I did good, 2.85 k even at my snail pace. Onwards to W8 , was planning for life with a bus pass this Nov but may not use it if can keep this up !
