I often expect to be more tired on 'work days' but if I run on a weekend or day off when I've lazed around all day, it's hell!
I just did 5.2 and found it quite hard right from the start. I expected to find the end of the run sections hard, and maybe the second half of the second 8 min, but it was all hard.
You know when you start that days run and 2 mins in the evil voice is saying "you're struggling already, give up!" It was very hard to over-power today's voice with positive thought! Unsure if it was because it was warmer, or slightly dehydrated, or just sleeping for 10 hours, haha.
I'll have to make sure I am at least modestly active on the day for dreaded run 3!

Yes may well be a little of all three, you mentioned.Make sure you warm up properly.
Slow and steady until you get through the initial sticky period, enjoy the 2nd half and you will have a huge grin when you have achieved your 20 minutes.
As pointed out, your actually doing less than 5.1 & 5.2 runs, if you include the middle walking break. 21 minutes versus 20 minutes.🤔
The respiratory system, inspiration/dissipation and expiration, maybe very familiar to you.
Enjoy your run 5.3 and believe in you and the programme.👍
Talk back to that evil voice and invite it to run along with you. That'll show it who's boss.
But you're way ahead of me in this lark. Just keep putting the minutes on the clock when you're feeling comfortable. (I'm OCD enough to need pretty fixed structures so I always run early whether I'm working or not. But boy, does 5:30am feel early to be out on the paths.....
