I am on week 4 and am starting to enjoy the run and definitely feel better - even though I still struggle up the hills! - BUT my right knee has a niggling pain that seems to go when I'm running but is painful when walking and particularly when I've been sat for a bit...
Should I rest? Get a knee support? Keep going? Help...

I had a similar problem, but you can buy knee supports pretty cheaply on Amazon. My problem proved to be only temporary. It was only a niggle really. It passed after a week. Now my knees are stronger than ever. I think my poor knee was just shocked at being asked to participate in anything other than a slow stroll.
I have some decent running shoes (they seem ok to me!) But I haven't had gait analysis done. I wonder if it's an age thing which I hate to admit but I'm going to get a knee support and try some exercises to see how it goes.
