One more run then I have graduated,

I should be really chuffed with myself

I don’t know why I keep putting this off 🤷‍♀️

Last week did 2x9 week runs they were both hard ,

I enjoyed last 10mins 😊

The days I didn’t run I was out on my bike

Maybe I am a fair weather runner

Definitely a fair weather biker

All this week I can’t be bothered with anything really

I have had news that an school friend had suddenly died , heart attach

Stupid I know but had a dream that I injured myself running and couldn’t get home 🤭

I started this program and was really enjoying it got this far and all of a sudden , I have seemed to have lost the get up and go 🙄😔

It got up and went...but it is still there, hiding... you are doing brilliantly ... and; the weather has challenged us...( Check out the pic on the What is Your Week link... plus the sad, sad news about your friend.... but what a great reason to run.. for you, and your heart health, and for your friend...

Slow down.. relax.... ease into the run and keep it slow... think about why you are doing this, about your chum, and happier times and remember, we are all cruising to the podium with you... Ye I am the one whispering steady and slow...:)

Come on... we can do this :)

Sometimes meeting a goal can feel like an ending rather than a triumph, like a "what now?" kind of feeling. If that's the case is there something that would spur you to keep going - like signing up for a 5k event or meeting a friend for parkruns?

Definitely tough to always feel up to things when you've got bad news and are working through your grief. Exercise, especially when it's quite challenging, can really help you work through things. I've finished workouts and a yoga class in tears before - and know they helped me quiet and open my mind and heart to let the emotions wash over me... experience them, acknowledge them.

Definitely some truth in there 👍🏻

So feeling for my school friend family also 🙏

Park run would be on my own

I don’t know anyone where I now live

Yes I do get very very lonely 😔

Why don’t you put a post with your nearest parkrun and find ask if there is anyone here who could meet you there and be a parkrun running buddy. I don’t want you to be lonely 😘

Go for it jen58, you’ve always been here supporting us all and now we are here for you.. you will do this and you know that once you start and when you finish those happy hormones will flood over you with your dear friend clapping you on. I agree with Amandana plan your next running goal, can’t wait to see the post telling us you’ve made it and your badge next to your name xxx ps is that what they call bling??

It’s easy to support someone when you have been through a similar thing in your own life 👍🏻

I will complete my goal

Even if it kills me which seems so inappropriate at this 🙏

A figure of speech 🙄

Thanks for you kind words

Echo Amandana it's very much a "But what now?!" (as always IannodaTruffe has a great pinned post on that! :D ) kind of thing that's probably putting you off. Can i just say though that anyone before they've graduated who can write: "I enjoyed last 10mins 😊" about Week 9 has got it in the bag!?! ;) Focus on the memory of that enjoyment, get on out there and let's get that badge next to your name!!!! :)

Come on Jen58. I’ve been doing around the same runs at the same time as you. I’ve lurked, yes lurked, around you. I’ve yet to do my second week 9 run so you are JUST ahead of me.

Losing your friend will have knocked your stuffing so be aware that you are in your ‘ shocked/confused’ bit and it will disturb other thoughts. Be good to yourself and take some ‘me’ time if needed.

Soon enough you’ll be back on that horse and running again.

Come on. You’re never lonely on here because we’re all rooting for you!!

So sorry to hear about your loss Jen. It can be difficult to keep going at times but now is not the time to give up, you've come too far. Get yourself back out there! You'll feel a massive sense of achievement when you do. Good luck!
