Hi,

My names Pete, just started my c25k with my daughter’s Jo & Natalie . I’m 52 I’m on my 2nd run and I’ve started to get a pain in my left Achilles, I’m ok walking but running is painful.

Any tips would be great as I don’t want to go back to the couch !!

Check this out:)

Welcome and well done... just keep it steady and keep it slow... :) Aches and pains are expected... but the correct shoes could ease the problem... ?

Since starting I've had aching ankles, knees, hips, shins & calfs - mine all faded away after time, I've just done my first run of week 8 and nothing ached when I'd finished, I think it just takes a while for your body to get used to it. Persevere- no matter how slow, in fact as others have said, the slower the better!
