Does anyone suffer from back pain since starting running? I’m w4r3. I have been told to start doing some core excersises like plank etc. Does anyone have any advice? It doesn’t hurt whilst running or walking, only when bending , getting up etc

Yep, I used to be a lower back pain champ, agony was my middle name.

Ok, posture, stretching and planks in no particular order for me would do it now but don't experiment with those things, seek advice first. My planks might aggravate your problem so try and see some good chiropractic, osteopath or a physio, they will know! ;)

Do NOT use shortcuts and gorge on painkillers instead!

Thank you, no I’m def off painkillers as used to use these a lot for headaches and have weaned off.

I will seek advice, it goes into my leg so suspect nerve issues!

If I ran 24/7 there would be no pain!!! 😂

Ah, sadly, there would be even more. They fixed me, they'll fix you, too! :)

Might be worth investigating any local yoga or pilates classes. I do pilates twice a week which I started a couple of years ago mainly because I did absolutely no exercise whatsoever but I think all the stretching and core work is helping me now as I have only just started couch to 5k - now on my second week.
