Follow the programme, week by week... take it slow and steady.. resist the urge to go faster... listen to your body always.
Non impact exercises on rest days is essential.. and rest days as the FAQ post will tell you are non negotiable
Keep posting your runs for great advice, support and the odd shove if need be

Congratulations - you have found the best supportive running group. Couch to 5k is a fab programme . Good luck.
Hello... yes!! I run with my boy who is 16, its really bonded us and we started by doing C25k together 5 years ago. I bribed him with a pound on the first run as I couldnt leave him alone in the house!!!!!! I have to say it worked and I no longer have to pay him .... I wrote this article yonks ago that may be of interest:
Hi, I also run with my son who just turned 8. We're on week 4 and run 3 times a week on my no-gym days. I'm enjoying it immensely and he's getting there too. Like Julia above me I had to use bribery in the form of Lego but by now it's just part of our routine. We started because we signed up for a fundraising run but I'm hoping we won't discontinue afterwards. I hope you find the strength and motivation BWP!
