So I managed w1 r1 and r2 but by run 3 my hips and knees are really starting to hurt. Going to keep going but any suggestions what I am doing wrong or how to stretch out my sore joints?

Check out this post.. to make sure you are all set up for the runs..

Then.. try to land lightly.. we do tend to thump down a tad when we first begin:)

Try these stretches too..

If you need two rest days instead of one, that's totally okay.

As the guide explains, as a new runner you can expect some discomfort, which will pass in time, but any persistent or recurring pain requires investigation.

Appropriate running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop can often ease those initial aches.
