Hi everyone, has anyone who has previous knee ligament damage experiencing pain and if so what happened?
basically I damaged a post cruciate ligament in my knee after a cycling crash a few years ago, everything was fine until week 4, completed run 2 week 5 yesterday and things feel wrong.
Anyone gone through this? I hope I can start running properly after the 5k but deep down suspect I may have to give it up and go back to cycling.

It could be something completely different. Running throws up all sorts of aches and pains until your legs build up to it. If it's bad or getting worse get it checked out. Being cautious now might save lots of time later. Whilst we metaphorically 'feel your pain' we cannot literally do so. Therefore the best person to judge this really is you. Stay positive. Even if it is your PCL complaining it might not mean the end of the running road.
Hi yelloqw46fan, see you are feeling niggles at Wk5 and just wondered if your footwear is supporting you properly. Over or under pronation can throw up problems as your runs get longer. Having a gait analysis is recommended to ensure you have the correct running shoes.
Lannodatruffe has written details about this in the FAQ. Here is the link to gait analysis.
