I'm new here. I have twice attempted the C25k programme in the last few years and twice have fallen at wk 3 - this appears to be my brick wall!! I’m loving all the advice this site and its members offer and it’s definitely giving me motivation for trying again (3rd time lucky?) In hindsight I think I should have been trying to run slower when I did my previous attempts. Obviously more of a challenge if you are carrying more weight but lots of people manage to succeed and find they lose weight, especially if you reduce your calorie intake at the same time. Read the FAQs and remember to 'run' really, really slowly. If you need to take more time to complete the programme, then no worries. Slow and steady will win the race Good luck!
Your instinct based on hindsight is probably correct, run slower, it’s not a race and taking it slow and building the fitness and running legs is the way to go. Good luck!
