Did a lot of research about treadmill running since my last post and discussion with you helpful lot. So I think I may have been heel striking on the treadmill? This morning, I actively leaned forward to try and prevent it and was able to go faster then I normally would (by about 1kmph) so an improvement! But still not as fast as outside. I also started off a bit slower for the first 10 to see if this would help regulate my body temp as I get so bloody warm in the gym. Whatever it was, it seemed to work, so another post-grad run completed.
I only have time to do 30-35 minute runs in the week, but on Sunday, I'm looking forward to a nice long run in the great outdoors.
I'm also doing a lot more yoga to help with strength and flexibility. An hour on non run days and 30 minutes on run days. What other exercises do people find complimentary to running?

Warning: you might still feel like a wally doing them. I recommend a mirror and a cat as your only audience
Check the "squat challenge" posts as IannodaTruffe has said and they will lead you to Rignold's blog where you will be indoctrinated into the cult of squa... er, I mean you'll learn some things about squats, how to and why. Useful stuff.
