ROBOT LEGS

So after my run Thursday I finished with a lot of pain in my right shin which to say the was not good but I set to with treatment.

Plenty of rolling pin,Ibuprofen and ultrasound and was quite intense then yesterday was run day, all day I was testing my leg and humming and ahhing about if I should run or give it another day.

Well it got to 5.00 and I thought blow it lets give it a go (I could always turn home) so set of thinking I'll just do 3 mile at most.

So I set off and at 1/2 mile I felt good and was running at about 12 mins per mile and feeling good, carried on and got to a mile out feeling strong and not an ache to be felt SO at that point I made the decision and dropped a right turn which takes me off through the park and hence onto a longer route

So I kept on still running at about 12 mins and feeling good (though sweating a bit) and got out to about 3 1/2 miles and couldn't believe just how bloody good/strong I felt and the legs where good good good so I picked up the pace and went.

Hit 4 miles and was feeling totally exhillerated and still lots in the tank so yet again I upped the pace and was fairly skimming along.

Now that last mile back is mostly a decent and was in my favour and I was going hard and fast, the sweat was rolling but my legs were pumping like pistons and I was feeling better than I've felt for a long time. I hit the 5 mile mark and that last mile I'd hit 8.35, I couldn't believe it, slowed down and down to a walk for the cool down home.

Elated to say the least

Merry Christmas all and happy running
