So running slowly and steadily makes me faster

So I have noticed while still consolidating my running that I pick up pace the longer I run. Not sure how that works but it helps me because my first 2K are always slower and I take time to get into the grove.

I normally run 3K Wednesday and it is the hardest of my runs for some reason. My Friday 5K and Sunday longer runs are much better and more enjoyable.

My head can't work it out.

  • It means you're running 'negative splits' (e.g. Your last mile's quicker than your first), and it's a good thing - means you won't run out of steam going out too quickly. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
