I’ve been put off running in the dark recently as it’s really pitch black when I can run - either very early morning or later in the evening. I’ve been down to one run a week and have regressed to week 6 runs. However a run is a run...But my head torch has arrived so I headed out tonight and once over the feeling I was being stared at it definitely gave me more confidence. I did 15 minutes and felt a bit bleurgh right at the end. But a run is definitely a run isn’t it, as you lovely people have taught me, so that’s another under my belt. My small aim since graduation had been to run 3 times a week, which I’ve been failing but the head torch will hopefully get me back on track.
I also tried a running meditation on my Headspace app which was a bit different to my usual retro soundtrack. It involved counting footsteps as a focus rather than the usual breaths - good job as counting those while running might be a bit distracting. Will definitely try it again.
Anyone interested in such things it’s an Gamma III from
The torch looks great antet , I hope it gets you out running 3 times a week. I really admire anyone running in the dark as I know I can't cope with it. I find it hard enough walking in the dark. 😂
Nice look and a nice run. Well done for getting out there, I keep wimping out of the dark and staying in the daylight. a reverse vampire!
