Need some encouragement! Had a few weeks off due to being away and doing shifts so on Monday did a 10 min run, 5 min walk 10 min run. Wasn't really feeling it tbh. I started all this months ago, should be well finished the programme by now. Has anyone else gone back before going forwards?! I've got as far as R1W8 before I fell off.

I’m the same changing shift patterns and feel I’m stuck on week 5 I just can’t crack W5R3 but I’m giving it my best let’s go for it together 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
The hardest part is getting the gear on and getting out the door. If I had stuck to plan I would have graduated 2 weeks ago( and wouldn’t be having to force myself out now😀) life does get in the way but remember your reason for starting, you can do this, listen to your body, take a break when you need to but then get back to it. Remember how much nicer the wine 🍷taste after a run 🏃🏼♀️😃
Pick the shoes up.. the gremlins and mojos hide under them.. get the shoes on and head out.. where you left off, and as slow as you like.. relax and just have a jogette as Irishprincess would say... just run and enjoy...
The word 'should' causes a lot of stress doesn't it. I say bugger the 'shoulds' and accept what is. Your progress was derailed because you were working hard, not because you just gave up. Even if you had, that would be ok too! There is, thankkfully, no all seeing judging your running progress EYE. Why not start from scratch? Even contemplating getting back at it is a win. Be kinder to yourself and go for it - at your own pace 🙂
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! Like Oldfloss the Black Dog is visiting too at the moment so I will run away from him first thing in the morning. I know it helps but as someone said, getting the clothes and trainers on and leaving the house is the hardest bit x
