Just ran or should I say jogged my 3rd run of my first week. I can not believe I made it. I haven't run before so this is a big step for me. I have had a very stressful job over the last 2 years and sadly made redudant last month. So needing to get me head in the right space, this has been the perfect opportunity to do something worth while.

Well Done Woodhaven, rest up and get ready for wk 2.

I find running a brilliant way to get your head in the right place. The exercise is good for your body, the endorphins help make you feel good, and being outside (if you aren't running on a dreadmill) getting fresh air, and time to think and be on your own without distraction.

Well done on starting the programme, and good luck over the next 9 weeks, for the future and finding another job.

Well done! You've got a perfect chance now to focus on yourself and do something good for you to make up for all that horrible stress. When you get a new job your new running habit will be a stress protector. Keep going, you will be running for 20 mins in a matter of weeks and that will feel so good. Good luck!

Well done. Have a few rest days and then roll on Week 2! Running outside clears my head, I have all my imaginery conversations and get my thoughts ordered, enjoy my music, enjoy the scenery when I run somewhere nice and wave to all the people I know! Carry on and you will be at Week 9 before you know it! x

Had a few hiccups. Old trainers that required replacing, blisters and over excited dog. Other than that, it was surprisingly doable. Just need to remember to stretch my legs as my calves started to burn half way through
